Scott Emmons

Scott Emmons is a freelance writer with a background in classical studies. After earning his Ph.D. at Indiana University and teaching at Berea College in Kentucky, he changed course and joined the humor writing staff at Hallmark Cards. He later wrote for JibJab, then for the Emmy-winning StoryBots children's series on Netflix. His books include many StoryBots titles as well as the nutrition fable Hugo Makes a Change, written in collaboration with illustrator Mauro Gatti. Now semi-retired, he has returned to his academic roots by starting Epic Greek History. He lives in the greater Kansas City area with his wife Erika and their two cats, Hector and Alex.
